Thomas Francis (1596-1656) was the founder of the Savoy-Carignano line of the House of Savoy. He was son of Charles Emmanuel I of Savoy and Catherina of Spain, daughter of Philip II of Spain and Elizabeth of Valois. Elizabeth was daughter to Henry II of France and Catherine de Medici.
